In this article, we apply environmental justice theories to conservation biology, particularly large carnivore reintroductions and recoveries. To do this, we develop a concept of affective justice - which describes the complex role of emotions as environmental harms, as disruptors of understanding other forms of justice, and as links between logics of oppression.
